New Members and Freshers

CUHC runs eight teams competing in the East Leagues divisions and four teams in the inter-university BUCS competitions. We are always looking for new members and would be delighted to meet you and have you come along. We realise that starting university is a busy time, so we’ve put together some key information to get you started!

Preseason

Preseason begins in mid-September a few weeks before term starts. It’s a great way to get to know the club and to begin to settle in at Cambridge as a whole before the business of term sets in. If you're around we'd love to have you along to get to know you so fill out this form below to register your interest! One of our captains will be in touch shortly afterwards to say hi and help out with any questions you might have.

CUHC Trials

Preseason is an informal way to trial players before the season starts, but if you can't make it to preseason, don't worry! At the beginning of term we run CUHC Trials for those who didn't come to preseason, or those didn't find out in time. You can sign up to CUHC Trials at the Sports Fair during Fresher's Week. The 2024 Sports Fair will be held on Monday 7th October at the University Sports Centre, look out for our stand there where you can chat with some members of the committee!

Joining Mid-Season

We're always looking to add new members to the CUHC family! Whether you've taken up College Hockey and would like to take it to the next level, or if you missed the trials at the beginning of the year and would like to get involved now, we'd love to meet you. Anyone looking to start playing University Hockey can get two free taster sessions with the Blundies or Rovers!
